Small size
LEDs are basically very small wafers wrapped in epoxy resin, so they’re very small and very light.
Low power consumption
LED power consumption is very low. Generally speaking, LED operating voltage is 2–3.6 volts. The operating current is 0.02-0.03A. In other words, it consumes no more than 0.1W of electricity.
Long service life
With the right current and voltage, LEDs can last up to several hours. High brightness and low heat are its characteristics as an electric bike headlight.
Environmental protection
LEDs are made of non-toxic materials, unlike fluorescent lamps that contain mercury that can cause pollution, and LEDs can also be recycled.
Rugged
LEDs are completely encapsulated in epoxy resin, which is stronger than bulbs and fluorescent tubes. There are also no loose parts in the lamp body, which makes the LED easy to damage.
Types of QD472
Fixed Lights: Fixed lights are permanently attached to the frame of the electric bike. Since they cannot be removed, there is less risk of losing or forgetting them, which enhances safety. However, they require more maintenance because they need to be serviced more often.
Removable Lights: These can be detached from the electric bike, allowing you to store them safely, which reduces maintenance efforts. However, they are easier to lose.
Start the Electric Bike
Press the power button or turn the key to switch on the electric bike, making sure the screen or battery indicator is on.
Locate the Headlight Switch on the Handlebar
If your electric bike has a dedicated headlight switch, usually located on the handlebar, find the button or switch with a lighting symbol.
Press or Activate the Switch
Press the button or operate the switch, and the front headlight should turn on immediately.
If the switch is a dial-type, turn it clockwise to turn on the lights.
Control the Lights via the Display Screen
If your electric bike has a display screen, access the settings menu, find the option for the headlights, and select "Turn On" or "ON" to activate the front headlight.
Ensure that the front headlight is on and working properly
If the light does not turn on, check if the battery is sufficiently charged or if the bulb needs to be replaced.
The Factors You Need to Consider When to Choose an Ebike Headlight
Brightness
First and foremost, you'll need to decide how bright you want your lights to be. When choosing a headlight, there are two ways that brightness can be measured: lumens and lux.
Run Times
Regarding your electric bike's battery life and run time, the more you have, the better off you will be. While a high-brightness headlight (between 1,500 and 3,000 lumens) may be great for going fast on your bike or getting home after dark quickly, it won't last very long. If you're more concerned about safety, though, you'll want to go for as much brightness as possible and leave the long rides for a day when you can charge your lights. The key here is to find a balance that works for your needs.
Battery Life
Many people overlook the importance of battery life regarding headlight choice. However, how long your lights last depends on two key factors: brightness and run time. The more light you take (as measured by lux or lumens), the quicker your battery drains. Similarly, the battery will drain if your lights are turned on for a longer period. However, the safest choice is to go with a brighter light with a much longer run time (and vice versa). If you can't find a balance, you may want to consider rechargeable batteries.
Budget
It is always a hard choice for better quality and affordable price. Our suggestion is only choose the one that fits your need and budget.
Waterproof
Another feature that you'll want to look for is weatherproofing. The last thing you want is moisture to seep into your lights and corrode the battery. You don't want to bring your lights indoors when the weather is rainy and damp, so it's important to have a waterproof design on your lights. The waterproofing on your lights will come in handy when riding in the rain or when you have to charge your battery during a wet spell.
Weight
Weight is a concern for most riders, especially when riding on the road or in off-road environments where these bikes don't have a lot of options for weight-bearing necessities. The lighter your bike, the better off you'll be. Avoiding having to carry extra weight throughout your ride so that you can focus on moving forward is important.
Remove OldLight:Take off your old headlight if you have one. Take a quick picture of how everything's connected before you start - this helps later.
Mount NewLight:Put your new ebike headlight where you want it on the bike frame. Make it sit flat and tight, but don't squeeze the screws too hard or they might break.
Connect the Wires:Look for the positive and negative wires from your LED light for ebike. Join them to your bike's power wires, making sure they match up right - red to red, black to black. The connection needs to be solid.
Check Everything:Put your battery back in and turn on the light. It should shine steady and bright without any blinking or dimming. Point the beam where you need it most.
Add a Tail Light:Think about adding an ebike tail light too. Having both front and back lights keeps you visible from all directions.

Maintaining and Fixing
Basic Care and Cleaning
Taking care of your ebike headlight helps it last longer. You need to clean the headlight lens and case often to keep them free of dirt and water spots. Simply use a soft cloth with some mild soap and water for cleaning. This simple step ensures your light stays bright when you need it.
Checking the Wires
Look at all the wires on your led light for ebike regularly to make sure they're okay. You should watch for any loose or worn-out parts that could cause problems. Put some special grease on the connectors to keep them from getting wet or rusty.
Battery Care
Your headlight's battery needs special attention. Make sure you charge it properly and don't let it stay empty for too long. Check if your electric bike light is getting the right power from your bike. Your manual will tell you what's normal.
