Twist Throttles

Thumb Throttles

Regular Calibration
Calibrating the Sensor
Based on the usage of the electric motorcycle and the manufacturer's recommendations, regularly calibrate the dual Hall effect throttle sensor. During calibration, follow the calibration methods and procedures provided by the manufacturer to ensure the accuracy of the calibration results.
Checking Calibration Results
After calibration, use a digital multimeter or oscilloscope to measure the sensor's output signal again to confirm that it is within the calibration range. If the calibration results are unsatisfactory, recalibrate or contact the manufacturer for repair.
Maintenance
Regular Inspection
Monthly inspection of the sensor's appearance (for cracks or deformation), connecting wires (for damage or looseness), and magnet (for displacement). Use a multimeter to measure the output voltage; the normal range should be 0.8-4.2V (approximately 0.7-0.8V at idle). If the voltage is abnormal, calibration or replacement is required.
Cleaning and Lubrication
Wipe the sensor surface with a dry cloth to remove dust. Avoid using alcohol or corrosive cleaning agents. Regularly apply high-temperature grease (such as lithium-based grease) to the throttle handle shaft to reduce mechanical wear.
Long-Term Parking
If the vehicle needs to be parked for an extended period (more than one month), it is recommended to start the vehicle and drive at low speed for 10 minutes every two weeks to maintain sensor activity; or disconnect the battery negative terminal to prevent static current loss.
